Aquatic Center Lessons - Learn To Swim Today

 The Aquatic Center Now Offers ActiveNet Online Swim Lesson Registration*!

McMinnville residents asked for a more convenient way to register for classes, and it's finally here! We are pleased to implement the ActiveNet Online Registration option! Here's what you need to do:

Learn To Swim Program
Our Learn to Swim Program is a safe and fun, skill based program.  We offer a variety of instructional formats intended to meet the perse time and learning needs of our students.
Lesson Fees: $41.50 or $27.50 with Pass
Dolphin Fees: $85 or $65 with Pass

Parent & Child Class
This class is recommended for parents and their children, 6 months to 4 years of age, who wish to orient and familiarize their youngsters to the pool and prepare for swim lessons. Swim diaper required if child is not toilet trained. Ten, (30 minute), classes per session.
Evening Classes
Days: Mon & Wed at 6 PM or Tue & Thu at 7:00 PM
Session I: M/W: Jun 18 - Jul 18 (no class July 4th), 6:00 PM
Session II: T/Th: Jun 19 - Jul 19, 7:00 PM
Session III: M/W: Jul 23 - Aug 22, 6:00 PM

Minnow (4-5 year olds)
This program focuses on beginning swimming skills such as submersion, floating & kicking. Children should be mature enough to be without a parent for 30 minutes. Students may register for either the group or Semi-Private formats.

Stingray (6 years of age and older)
This program is designed to teach beginning water safety and recreational swimming skills. Students may register for either the group or Semi-Private formats. Children under the age of six will be admitted by permission based on maturity, attention span and coordination level.

Group Lessons (Minnows & Stingrays)
This format is the most economical and is recommended for beginning students who are relaxed in the water and comfortable submerging by themselves. Stingrays average six to seven students per instructor & Minnows five per instructor. Ten, (30 minute), classes per session.

Semi-Private Lessons
This lesson format is for parents who want more instructional time per student or for students who require additional inpidual attention (ie: uncomfortable going underwater or working on a challenging skill). Classes average 3 – 4 students per instructor. Five 30-minute classes per session.

Dolphins (Intermediate & Advanced Students)
This affordable and fun program is designed to develop intermediate to advanced recreational swimming ability & water safety skill. Classes include skill development, strength & endurance building, personal water safety, boating safety, water polo, introduction to competitive swimming, a fun relay meet, an afternoon of fishing at Rainbow Lake and a field trip to Evergreen Wings & Waves in August. Students must be able to swim at least 25 yards of crawl stroke and 25 yards of backstroke. A screening test is required. 25 one-hour classes per session.

Barracudas: Jr. Lifesaving Class
Our new Jr. Lifesaving Class is for middle school students who want improve their swimming ability, build strength & endurance, learn personal water safety & boating safety skills and have fun. Must be able to swim 25 yards of crawl stroke & back stroke.
