The Finance Department provides accounting, financial reporting, budget preparation, budget management, cash and investment management, debt issuance and administration, grant accounting and insurance administration services for the City as a whole, but also to City operating departments.  The City's Finance Director is also the City Recorder.  

The Finance Department is proud that the Government Finance Officer's Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of McMinnville for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the last nineteen years.
