Adult Recreation & Leisure Advisory Board
Days: First Tuesday of every month
Time: 6–8 p.m.
The City of McMinnville Parks and Recreation Department Senior Center Adult Recreation and Leisure Advisory Board is comprised of local older adults, Senior Center patrons, and identified community partners who represent the major program areas at the Senior Center. The Adult Recreation and Leisure Advisory Board works with staff to provide feedback, suggestions, and input about Senior Center issues and decisions affecting older adults in the McMinnville Community. McMinnville Senior Citizens, Inc.
Day: Last Friday of every month
Time: 1-3 p.m.
Fee: $6 per person, per calendar year
The McMinnville Senior Citizens, Inc. membership organization is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote social, cultural, mental and physical well being of the older citizens of McMinnville and the surrounding communities, and to promote the programs and activities of the McMinnville Senior Center and Facility. Through annual membership dues and fundraising projects, the McMinnville Senior Citizens, Inc. have provided such things as office supplies, lighting for the facility lobby area, purchase of a photocopier, computer equipment, fax machine, cold water drinking fountain and a variety of miscellaneous other purchases which have helped the senior center to continue to provide excellent service to the citizens of Yamhill County.

Leisure Biking Club
Dates: Every Monday

Fuel costs getting you down? Do you need to make a quick trip to the store but don’t want to fire up the car? What about traveling around town on a bicycle? Join us every Monday at 9:30 a.m. as we explore the endless opportunities that recreational bicycling has to offer. These rides will be easy to moderate around the local area. Our group will meet in the lobby of the Senior Center weather permitting.
Book Discussion Group
Day: First Monday of every month
Time: 1-3 p.m.
Fee: Free
You won’t want to miss becoming a part of these thrilling and thought provoking discussions. This club, as a whole, chooses a different book or topic each month with discussion at the next months meeting.
Wood Carving Club
Dates: Every Monday
Time: 8 a.m. – Noon
Fee: Free
Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced woodcarver – the Mac Carvers welcome you!
Crafting
Day: Every Wednesday
Time: 1 p.m.
Fee: Free
Ever started a craft project and never quite finished it? Bring whatever craft you are working on. This is a fun time to meet new people and catch up with others.
Quilt Relief Project
Dates: Every Monday
Time: 1-4 p.m.
Fee: Free
This all volunteer program makes quilts which are donated to families, charitable organizations, and individuals in need. Coordinator Bonnie Hawks is looking for volunteers age 18 and better to help. China Painting Club
Day: Every Friday
Time: 9a.m. – 3p.m.

Join this group and you will learn to enjoy the art for of china painting! You won’t want to miss this fabulously fun club! Some supplies are available in class.
Odyssey Club
Day: Every Thursday
Time: 2–4 p.m.
Fee: Free
These weekly meetings will feature the lives of famous personalities and authors, along with short stories, books and music of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. Each week will provide a profile of a different classical composer with a sample of their music. Come and share the experience!

“Caring Touch” Massage
Day: Every Wednesday
Time: 1–3 p.m.
Fee: $15 per person for a 20 minute session
Debbie Hartford, a Licensed Massage Therapist, offers a “Caring Touch” massage. The massage is done in a regular chair with clothing on. Appointments can be made by calling the Senior Center at (503)435-0407.
Acupuncture Clinic
Day: Wednesday
Time: 9–11:15 a.m.
Fee: $10 per person for a 15 minute session
Matthew Frey, L.Ac. will be providing acupuncture with a focus on alleviating acute and chronic pain, reducing stress and anxiety, improving digestive health, post stroke recovery, increasing energy, and controlling seasonal allergies. Patients are treated sitting up in a chair or in their wheelchairs and remain fully clothed. For more information, or to make an appointment, please call the Senior Center at (503)435-0407.
Foot Care Clinic
Day: Every Thursday
Time: 9a.m.–3p.m.
Fee: $18 per person for a 20 minute session
Sandy McCann, RN, will trim toe nails, take care of calluses and provide a general inspection of your feet. For more information, or to make an appointment, please call the Senior Center at (503)435-0407.
Blood Pressure Checks
Day: Every Thursday
Time: 11 a.m. – Noon
Fee: Free
Stefani Randolph, Director of Nursing from LifeCare Center of McMinnville, looks forward to helping people at the Senior Center by monitoring blood pressure readings. Please note that no appointment is necessary.
Hearing Aid Check
Day: first Wednesday of every month
Time: 11a.m. – Noon
Fee: Free
Greg Arnone, BC-HIS from McMinnville Hearing Center, Inc. provides hearing aid checks and will clean hearing aids, change batteries and help in assisting hearing aid wearers by providing better hearing… with a caring touch!

Day: Wednesday (second and forth Wednesday of each month)

Fee: Free
Attorney Matthew Mullaney will be available to meet one-on-one with any older adult needing legal advice. This free consultation will last ½ hour. Call the Senior Center at (503)435-0407 to schedule an appointment.

Our lending library offers a wide array of books and periodicals for your reading pleasure. The library is stocked with donated books, periodicals and VHS movies that are loaned on the honor system free of charge.
