From preschool through college, McMinnville's educational offerings surpass most cities of its size. The McMinnville School District, as well as a number of private and parochial schools, give parents choices as they plan their children's education.McMinnville School District McMinnville School District serves more than 5,700 students in six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. In addition to the core academic program, other programs and services help students be successful learners: special education, talented and gifted, English as a Second Language, health, counseling and speech. Chemeketa Community College, McMinnville Campus You can begin a college career or seek personal enrichment from the many classes offered at Chemeketa Community College's McMinnville Campus. Other services available include advising and counseling services in academic and career development areas, testing (GED and placement), financial aid information, and a Business Skills Training Program offering up-to-date office technology and procedures. Linfield College Set on a picturesque 193-acre campus, Linfield College is an independent, coeducational, comprehensive college with a commitment to the liberal arts. The college offers 41 majors for bachelor degrees. US News and World Report has named Linfield among the top comprehensive bachelor's institutions in the western region for the past four years. Serving more than 1,600 students, the college also is a great contributor to local cultural offerings.
