FAQ:

  • How long will it take for my application to be processed?

From when your application is received, please allow 5 business days for processing. During this processing time, staff may reach out to you more information.

  • How do I register/pay for my program after my application is approved?

Staff will enter your financial award into your online Active Net account. You can then register online or in person at a Parks and Recreation facility.

  • Can I reserve a spot for the activity/class before I hear back about my financial assistance request?

No, you cannot reserve a spot for a program and receiving assistance does not give priority if registration is late and/or the class is full. We post registration dates on our social media, the city website, and in our activity guides. You can also contact a Parks and Recreation facility for updated registration dates. Prepare early and submit your application prior to registration dates.

  • This is my first time registering for a Parks and Recreation activity. Do I need an ActiveNet account? Can I receive help creating an account?

Yes, an ActiveNet account is required to register for a program. An account can be made here. If you need help, we can make you an account at any of our facilities or over the phone. Call the Aquatic Center at 503-434-7309, the Community Center at 503-434-7310, or the Senior Center at 503-435-0407. We can all help you in preparing for registration.

  • Why are only residents from McMinnville eligible for financial assistance?

City property taxes fund approximately 50% of Parks and Recreation Services. Financial assistance is limited to patrons already paying into city services through their property taxes. People who live outside of the city limits of McMinnville do not pay City of McMinnville property taxes, therefore, do not qualify for financial assistance.
