Downtown Parking Study

The McMinnville Urban Renewal Agency hired Rick Williams Consulting to work with community stakeholders on a downtown parking study.  This study will first collect data on how downtown parking (both private and public) is utilized and where there may or may not be capacity issues.  Then the team will analyze the data and make recommendations on how McMinnville can manage its downtown parking inventory to make parking easier to access in the future and to plan for future increased inventory.  The study team will collect data on two specific days in McMinnville, one being a Thursday in the summer when the Farmer’s Market is underway to capture employee and customer parking as well as the impact of a standing event.  The second day chosen will be a Saturday in the summer to capture employee, customer and tourism parking.

The McMinnville Urban Renewal Advisory Committee will serve as the Project Advisory Committee with representation from the McMinnville Downtown Association, City of McMinnville, Visit McMinnville and other community stakeholders.
